  • All humans experience self consciousness and some may just not show it. No one is completely self confident throughout their lives because life can throw all of us curve balls. Self conscious emotions can appear as young as three and up. Children start preschool and their peers may make them feel self conscious of being perhaps chubby to not fitting in and this can follow children right up to high school if the child's parents do not recognize these traits and help their child be more confident because everyone fits into a slot of life. It is when one is younger that self confidence is either built up or torn down and this can follow an adult throughout life.

Self-conscious emotions, such as shame and guilt, typically begin to appear between 18 and 24 months of age as children develop a sense of self-awareness and the ability to compare their behavior to social standards and expectations. They become more pronounced and complex as children grow older and continue to develop socially and emotionally.

Not exactly. But you need to be careful, because people can be terrible and take advantage of people that appear 'weak'. People who do that are weak themselves. There are emotions one should keep to themselves though.. Like constant random outbursts of emotions in public are kindof ridiculous.
