Right after it gives birth. ;)
Mostly by smell.
My dog is having the same problem, luckily we have another dog who tends to take care of the first dog's puppies, but still, why won't she pick up her own puppies?? The bigger dog takes care of the smaller dog's puppies.... the smaller one has never picked up her puppies...
Let her clean them and don't pick them up for about 1 week.Unless your dog really understands you she might just let you pick them up.Good Luck
They should have up to 8 or 9 puppies a litter.
yes it is absolutly normal for a dog to exibit these behaviors.
Puppies get up to 14 or maybe other it depends on the type of dog it is.
Let her clean them and do what she do but u cant touch the puppies until they get bigger
What you are probably seeing is the uterus flexing its muscles to tone up to get ready to have puppies. You will see a rippling along the sides of the female dog. That is not puppies moving but the uterus toning up.
The breed of dogs can have up to five or six puppies because they are a small dog.
teacup puppies
probably not. only if that dog has puppies.
it best not to have puppies with a dog from a dog shelter
