There is no medical justification for docking a newborn puppy's tail but, if it's going to be done, it should be within the first 2 to 3 days of life. Check with your Vet for his/her protocol.

Why do you want her tail cut off??? This is a cruel and unnecessary procedure. Dogs use their tails for signalling to each other and docking tails can cause problems such as a tail dock neuroma. I'm not sure where you live, but docking dogs tails is now illegal in the UK for these reasons. Please don't cause your dog pain just for your own benefit. I'm sure she is very happy with how she looks even if you are not!
