That will depend on the accounting practices of individual companies. You need to ask the company itself.
tomorow...
First off I do not understand why no one that has a workers comp claim doesn't not go get a comp lawyer. workers comp pays for the comp lawyer. I would call the insurance company and ask why. then go get comp lawyer.
You can file for SSDI if you are receiving workers' compensation benefits. The Social Security office will probably send a form to the carrier handling your claim requesting information about any wage benefits you are being paid. SSDI benefits may be offset (reduced) by workers' comp wage benefits, but the fact that you are receiving work comp does not prevent you from being able to apply for and receive SSDI.
no you will not
Yes do I file a claim on line or how?
If you're getting paid under the table, which is ducking the government and not paying taxes like the rest of us do, then you are not eligible for workman's comp or medical insurance. You employer, who does not techinically employ you in the eyes of the law, has no obligation to cover your expenses.
Not having health insurance will not effect the Worker's Comp claim as long as the claim is directly related to an on the job injury. Worker's Comp is designed to help pay the medical bills directly related to an on the job injury. Health insurance generally does not pay for anything related to an on the job injury, because of Worker's Comp.
with the closed with treatment order, you get medical paid, but give up your right to any lost wages and mileage for treatment. An open claim gives you the right to lost wages and mileage
If you get caught, you can count on it.
The worker's comp law is slightly different in each state. Basically if an employee is injured in the course and scope of their work, they are entitled to having the cost of medical care paid, and if they miss time from work, they are to be paid for wages they miss. There ARE limits on how much the payments are. You should look up worker's comp for YOUR state.
NO
The company has workers comp insurance and it's paid through that. Always.
There are 2 answers here - if you have filed a workers comp claim and are waiting for it to be approved YOU can elect to use any sick leave/ vacation leave you have - BUT your employer can't just take it without your permission IF your claim has been approved- you should be receiving benefits from comp monthly IF your not Ans your claim has been approved you need to find out why!! Your sick leave has nothing to do with comp benefits. However if you elect to use your sick leave then your employer must reinstate the amount you used or pay you for it. Like I stated earlier - you should be getting a check from workers comp ----
