Welll it matters what king of iPod you hav: Classic- The batterie in the corner will be red or have nothing in it. Nano- same thing as the classic Shuffle- usually there is a button on the back of it that when you push it, it shows either green yellow or red. Green: fully charged Yellow: Batterie is getting low Red: No more batterie left
