The answer is simple, yet complicated because it is different for everybody. How do you feel when you're around your said "possibly loved one?" Does your pulse race? Do you forget what you were going to say, get flustered easily? Do you appreciate every single thing the person says? Do you feel like your insides are bursting? Does every fiber of your being want the other person when they are away? Do you miss the hell out of them? Do you see their flaws not as flaws but as imperfect perfections? Things that mysteriously only make you love them more? Do you find yourself being reminded of the person in everything you do? Songs on the radio, certain places you have been with them, foods they like, anything really. Well, I hate to break it to you but that might be infatuation rather than love. Love is much deeper. Love, is when those things keep happening in the time to come, you can't love anybody before you know them. That isn't love. "How can you say you LOVE me? You don't even know me." Love is when you are together for a long time and you establish CONNECTION. You want to remain in their presence forever. They make you a better person, and they make you love yourself. They complete you and in a way you sort of become a single person after awhile. Love is beautiful and comfortable and something that lives by it's own rules. It doesn't care if you give up on it, it will sneak back into your life and astound you in ways you didn't think were possible. It will surprise you again and again.
