You'll need a headshot when you go to audition for movies. They can get pretty costly, so put that into consideration before getting one.

When you get your headshot, every audition you go to for a movie, commercial, etc., you'll need to show them the headshot. It gives the casting callers a reference to refer back to. That way, if they do pick you, they can go back to your picture and look it over.

You will need it done professionally or else they will turn out bad.
