For males
older sister is 누나 noona
older brother is hyung.
For females
your older brother is 오빠 oppa
your older sister is 언니 eonni.
good question :)
in korea, it depends what you call a sister by age.
if the girl is older, then u call her "un-ni"
if the girl is younger, u call her "yuh-dong-saeng"
Unnie is what a younger girl would call a older sister.
Noona is what a younger boy would call a older sister.
Sister:
언니 - A girls older sister
누나 - A boys older sister
동생 - Younger Sibling
여동생 - Younger Sister
여동생 (yeodongsaeng)
여동생, (Yuh-Dong-Sseng)-Little sisster
Younger sister in korean
noona for elder sister 누나- that is how you right it
Older sister coming from a female - "Eon-nie" Older sister coming from a male - "Noo-na" Younger sister coming from both gender - "Dong-saeng"
Older sister but it doesn't have to be your real sister. it could be any older girl that you consider her as close to a sister
Older Sister (addressed by female).
yeo-dong-saeng
Noona is a Korean term used by males to address an older female sibling or friend. It is used to show respect to an older female.
"Uni" does not have a specific meaning in Korean. It may be a transliteration of a foreign word or acronym used in a specific context.
It depends on your gender. If you're a girl, your older sister/an older female is your "unnie" (uh-nee) If you're a guy, your older sister/ an older female is your "noona" (noo-na) A younger brother or sister is your "dongsaeng" (dong-seng) Dongsaeng is used regardless of your gender or the person's gender.
If u mean how is it spelled in Korean, it's 여동생. 동생 means little brother (see there's no "여" which pretty much means female), but is often also used as little sibling. So the older brother would say that so and so is my 동생, regardless of the gender.
Unni is what a younger female would call a woman older than herself and Noona is what any male would call a woman older than himself
A younger brother or sister is 동생 (dong-saeng). If you are a girl, your older sister is 언니 (eon-ni) and your older brother is 오빠 (oppa). If you are a boy, your older sister is 누나 (noona) and your older brother is 형 (hyung).
its actually often spelled "noona" in English, anyways, it means older sister in Korean (but only for males)
