Hello. The Greek word for baptism is ba'pti.sma refers to the process of immersion, including submersion and emergence; it is derived from the verb , " ba'pto, meaning dip. In the Bible, "to baptize" is the same as " to immerse." The baptism of Jesus hinself as performed by John was his immersion in the Jordan, and was approved by Jesus' Father Jehovah. Read Matthew 3: 13-17. So to answer your question, it is difficult to immerse someone in anything else than water.
