NASA won't be sending astronauts to the moon before 2020. That is of course if the Ares-1 and Ares-V rocket are ready. As of now, NASA has only tested part of the Ares-1 rocket and the Ares-V rocket is still in the design stages of development. Other complications, the Augustine Commission, reporting that a return mission to the moon would yield little science data if not any.
The NASA missions which landed humans on the moon were called the Apollo Moon missions.
So far only men have landed on the moon but if NASA starts to send out manned missions again, I don't see why a woman can't be involved in walking on the moon too.
NASA
Men have gone to the Moon. The Apollo program, run by NASA, successfully landed astronauts on the Moon between 1969 and 1972.
THere were a total of six missions where men were landed on the moon's surface.
So far only 12 men have walked on the moon.
I am not exactly sure about NASA and all of that. But, I know 12 men have walked on the moon.
12 men have stepped on the moon, all of them were NASA astronauts from the United States during the Apollo missions between 1969 and 1972.
Twelve men have walked on the Moon, all of whom were part of NASA's Apollo program between 1969 and 1972.
The moon does have gravity but it is much weaker it hase 1/6 of the earths gravity. wihout it how do you expect the men on the moon to stay on the moon?
As of now, no women have walked on the moon. The Apollo program in the 1960s and 70s only sent men to the moon. NASA is planning to send the first woman to the moon as part of the Artemis program, with a target date of 2024.
Many, many hours of it. The best resource would be the NASA website.
