A surface will reflect light most clearly when that surface is completely smooth.
Example of clear reflection:
Look at the reflection on a lake when there is no wind or anything causing ripples or waves. The reflection is clear and objects reflected can be seen clearly.
Example of distorted (unclear) reflection:
Look at the same lake on a very windy day when there are many waves and other ripples on the waters surface. The reflections coming off the waters surface are hard or imposable to see due to the distortion of the reflection.
Most objects reflect light. Visible sunlight is white in color and is made up several wavelengths of different colors, and snow appears white because it absorbs no sunlight, and reflects all of it. Other colored objects absorb certain wavelengths, and reflect others, thus appearing colored. Black objects absorb everything. Snow reflex lights so well because, at a micro level, snow crystal structure provides many faces off which sunlight is reflected.
The Solar System object with the highest albedo is Europa with a reflectivity of 0.64. Earth by comparison is 0.367. Europe is smooth and covered in fresh (clean) ice. So smooth and white would reflect the most.
because some stuff doesn't reflect light. most dirty things probably don't have those materials.
The world record for having the most Christmas lights is held by a family in Canberra, Australia. Their beautiful display contains 331038 lights and has attracted many visitors.
The surface temperature of the sun is roughly 5,800K, so the color of most of the photons that leave the sun's surface is green.
Unless it is jet black, yes. Most surfaces reflect some light.
a mirror
As most paper's surface is rough at microscopic levels therefore they do reflect the light but the light reflected y them is scattered over a large surface due to its rough texture.......As they do not reflect light in a particular direction like mirrors therefore they seems not to reflect the light.....
Not if you can clearly see the lights on the tow vehicle; problem is most cops do not know this and will give you a ticket.
Generally, white poster board reflects most visible lights. However, it may not reflect all lights equally. Some colors or wavelengths of light may be absorbed or scattered more than others, resulting in a slight variation in reflection.
in the Northern part of Canada where they are the most prevalent since they reflect from the North pole
Highly polished, shiny surfaces reflect light the best as they are REFLECTive. White or bright surfaces also reflect light well. Dull, Matt surfaces are the worst reflecters of light
Any silvered or highly polished metal will reflect sunlight. But, a chromed surface (an electroplated surface of a thin layer of chromium onto a metal object) is very reflective and , apart from a looking-glass mirror, would be the most efficient.
sound wave reflect best off smooth, hard surfaces
more clearly, very clearly, the most clearly
A dark surface will absorb the heat and reach a higher temperature. A light surface will reflect most of the heat and become cooler.
comparative: more clearly superlative: most clearly
