You'll see a large bird flying in the sky, but it can be anything: hawk, crow, raven, or a vulture... To distinguish what it is: Turkey vultures are large dark colored birds with a wingspan of nearly 6.5 feet. They are recognized by the "V" shape of their wings in flight and their teeter totter effect as they fly (they sort of rock side to side in an awkward balance) This V shape is called a dihedral. If you are close enough, you might be able to see the distinctive red head of the vulture. Also, on the underside of the wing, you'll notice a light grey color band on the edge of the feathers. This is a good way to recognize the Turkey Vulture.
Turkey can fly. My aunt actually had her windshield shattered by a flying turkey
