An Eclipse is caused when the moon moves between us (the earth) and the sun. But there is more to it than that. For example why is it that the moon does not explode when the suns rays are all focused on it. The reason why the moon does not explode is because of the gasses released from, its atmosphere. Are planet as a layer of gassed called the Ozone layer, well so does the moon only its one is atleast 10 times stonger. But resent studies indicate a significant decreease of stregnth of it atmosphere in the last 5 years. This means if it keeps deceaseing at this rate the moon will explode within the next 60 years.
