The next Rider, in the green book that is soon to come out, is most likely Arya. She is mostly associated with the color, and she is already used to riding a dragon (Saphira).

Will Eragon get married?
It's been hinted that eragon will get married to arya, but she keeps denying him, so we don't know if Paolini is actually going to make it happen. The fourth book comes out, in like, two years.
Is the new dragon rider in the inheritence series going to be bad?
Probably not. The last dragon egg is green and is currently in the possession of Galbatorix. There are a couple possibilites: 1. Eragon and crew somehow steal/come into possession of the egg and it hatches to one of the main characters. If so, then the likeliest candidate is Arya, followed by Roran. Arya is likelier to become the next rider than Roran because becoming a rider would make Roran immortal, outliving Katrina. Paolini probably wouldn't create such a sad ending for Roran. There are other reasons, but I'm too lazy. 2. Some random thief steals it and becomes the next rider. He is then hunted by the Varden and the Empire to recruit him. This is unlikely as the egg has been under heavy guard ever since Saphira's egg was stolen, and this would take up a very large portion of the final book. 3. Galbatorix finds the rider to the egg, but the rider somehow escapes. This is unlikely as Galbatorix is very powerful and would be more than capable of overpowering someone as he has even forced Murtagh to his will. 4. Galbatorix finds the rider to the egg and forces him to his will. 5. The egg is not hatched until years after Eragon's victory over Galbatorix, and is given to the first new Dragon Rider of the new age.
What are some of the hints that arya is the next dragon rider?
Well there are quite a few hints... The three egs galbatorix had were all different colours - Blue (Saphira), Red (Thorn) and green (???). This means the dragon is green, which happens to be the colour of Arya's magic. Coincidence? There is also the fact that she says she will not "marry" Eragon (in the elvern fasion) until this is other, and will do anything to end the war. And it all fits too place, if you look at the ways the other books have fallen together. Eragon's REAL father, his sword, Murtagh... Hope I helped :-)
