Does hydrogen have a high or a low melting point?

hydrogen is a gas consequently doesn't have a melting point. You can't melt oxygen can you. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually oxygen can freeze and melt: its melting point is -361.8°F (-218.8°C). Even hydrogen can freeze and melt: its melting point is -434.49 °F(−259.16°C) These are very cold temperatures!

What temperature does oxygen melt at?

The melting point of oxygen is -361.8 degrees F (-218.8 degrees C). The boiling point of oxygen is -297.31 degrees F (-182.95 degrees C).

Does Diamond and graphite have boiling point?

Yes. In the absence of Oxygen, they melt at 3550°C and boil at 3825°C

What temperature does diamond melt at?

Diamonds do not melt, but they can burn. Diamonds are formed at extremely high pressure and temperatures, but will burn in the presence of oxygen, like an oxygen torch at 1472 degrees Fahrenheit.

At what temperature does oxygen boil and melt?

Melting point:- oxygen: -218,79 0C- carbon dioxide: -56,6 oC- nitrogen: -210 oCBoiling point:- oxygen: -182,262 0C- nitrogen: -195,795 oC

What is melting point of bakelite?

It doesn't have a melting point as it is a thermosetting plastic, meaning it can be heated but it will not melt, instead the temperature will be raised until it burns. Hope this help :D

What happens to most solids as they are heated?

They could reach their melting point and melt or they could char and react with the oxygen in the atmosphere. Some solids will ignite when heated.

Can Oxygen melt?

It doesn't. Oxygen is already a gas at normal temperatures. Which means it's boiling point is way below that of water, as is the melting point. Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius. Oxygen boils at -183 degrees Celsius.

Which has the lower freezing point oxygen or ethanol?

Oxygen has a lower point.
