This is, strictly speaking, not even in Advent (commences December 8) let alone the Christmas season, theologically. a Swiss Custon called the Klausjagen, which I accidentally found out about when in PS l7 -and odd reader story- the name means ( Klaus-Hunt) is a parade celebration of outsized hats resembling Bishop"s mitres on December 6. it honors St. Nicholas- but has nothing to do with Christmas or the popular idea of Santa Claus.
