No. The calendar ends December 21 (Winter Solstice, 2012. It simply marks the end of one calender and the start of another. They never actually predicted that it would end on that date but the calender would still have people putting more dates in because it would just go on forever and ever
To be honest, No one knows when they world is going to end.
If it was going to end, they'd tell us and they wouldn't be building in London for 2012! - we'll die, but not yet. another thousand years possibly more.

∙ 12y agoNo. It is hypothesised that the Mayan calendar ran out because that particular civilization had reason to leave in a hurry.
It should also be noted that other inscriptions found at ancient Mayan sites have dates that roughly translate to the year 4772.
Bear in mind that people have been predicting different times for the end of the world for centuries ... and nothing has happened.

The Myan calender ends on December 12, 2012. Some people say this is when the world will end, but the Myan calender ends because that is when the Myans decided that the world needed no further recognition; not because the world was going to end.
They also say that the Mayans believed the world was to end because of the cycle and 2012 is the year something good or bad is to happen because it happened a long time ago. I don't get it all!

∙ 13y agoNo. They said the world will end in 1999, but it didn't. They said it countless of times and nothing happen, what makes this time any different. The most important reason why the world will not end in 2010, is because no one can see the future. God never said the world will end in 2010. God knows when the world will end and its not 2010. Even if God had planned to end the world in 2010. God will not just so he can prove he is the greatest and no scientist can say other wise. Ha. That is the answer and anyone who doesn't believe in God will see when the world doesn't end and will burn in hell fire.

The Mayans had predicted that the world would end in 2012 (which it won't), because that's when they stopped making the calendar at that time.
