November 25, 2009. NBC have announced that Chuck will be returning to TV for Season 3 (its third season) on Sunday, January 10, 2010 with two back-to-back episodes before moving into its regular Monday-8 pm time-slot on Jan. 11.

NBC's shared time period strategy will kick off this fall on Mondays with the premiere of "Heroes" (8-9 p.m. ET) continuing with all originals before "Chuck" assumes the time period after the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, which will be a powerful launching platform with its broad, female appeal and strong ratings as the most-watched event of the year.

Updated December 17th, 2009: Chuck Season 3 Premiere has been moved up to a January 10th air date. Chuck has been renewed by NBC for a third season. It will start in March 2010, 11 months after the end of season 2. The date is somewhat due to the 2010 Olympics being in the preceding weeks. Because of the late start date, NBC has only ordered 13 episodes.
