I'm in the KCMO area. 18 or end of high school, unless they enter continuing education of at least 5 credit hours, beginning 6 months after graduating from high school. At this point, it runs to age 23, provided they remain in school. See links
I have sole legal and physical of our child he has no visitation or contact rights due to abuse. He emailed me today and said because our child doesn't want to see him he is going to sign his rights away. He already tried quiting his job to get out of paying now this. Can he do this? My child and I depend on this money to stay off welfare. I make ok money but not enough by myself. Will this get him out of paying child support?
Perhaps Welfare, not SS.
Yes, because of the two, denial of access is far more damaging to the child, and to society in general. see link
Depending on the state, yessee link
That would constitute welfare fraud.
This is dependent on the circumstances and the state. Not if it is voluntary, however in Missouri, if being denied access, the obligor parent can file to have child support placed on hold.
no, but depending on time, support can be adjusted or stopped. In Missouri, after 30 days, it stops.
File for support as if the parent were not incarcerated. If the parent owns property such as a bank account or real estate it can be levied or have a lien placed against it. The child support amount granted will accrue while the parent is in custody and he or she will be held responsible for payment of arrearages when released.
Yes, and continuing child support owed after in states like Missouri where death is not a justiable cause for not paying support.
That is an issue the court decides at the time other child support issues are addressed.

You don't have the right to contact your child? If you don't, you can file a motion for an order of visitation in the court with jurisdiction (where the child legally resides).
Since there's not a paycheck due to the death, what would it matter? The problem that arises is the requirement to carry a $50,000 life insurance policy with the residential parent as the recipient. If the deceased parent did not have the policy, a lien can be placed on the grandparents estate. Death is not grounds for non-payment of support in Missouri.
