∙ 8y agoIt will drop of oxygen and pick up carbon dioxide from the cells that make up the tissues of the intestines. Simple sugars, amino acid and some salts and vitamins are also picked up. Some of these are transported to the liver and some through the lymphatic system. Both systems will drop off these to the blood for transport into the entire body.
