No, the US did not invent slavery. Slavery has existed in some form as long as people have existed. Read the story of Moses and the Israelites in the bible- they were slaves of the Egyptians thousands of years ago. And the US did not exist thousands of years ago. The first slaves in the US were brought to Jamestown VA by a Dutch ship.
As long as it is in all capitals, the word "SWIMS" can be read upside down.

I think it is because people are used to read from left to right ( normally ), but when they read upside down with text or numbers, they still read from left to right, and that is why reading upside down, in my opinion, affects our fist thoughts without hesitating. Tell me if I am wrong or not!

When you use capital letters, SWIMS can be read the same upside down. Note: Nabisco had a snack mix called 'doodads' (now discontinued), which they spelled on the box in all lower case letters. If you placed the box upside down in the cupboard, it read 'spapoop' so our family started calling them 'spapoops'. That was many, many years ago, and still today, I had to stop and figure out what that real name was.
So that it can be read by drivers on the road who are looking in their mirrors.
