An action replay is a slot or mechanism were you insert it into your ds then the game [ make sure you have uploaded cheats for that certain game] then you can do stuff that regular cheats cant do . like for example for Pokemon games regular cheats wont let you walk through walls and stuff but an action replay would

Make sure that you are fully inserting the Action Replay DS into your machine. Many times for me it does not register when I put it in lightly. Make sure you hear the slight "click" noise when you insert it.
