Santa Claus day in Great Britain is called 'Christmas Day' because we celebrate the birth of Jesus who is God's son.

Santa Claus comes down the chimney at night and puts presents under the tree whilst the children sleep. He also puts presents in stockings. If a child has been bad, they sometimes get a lump of coal or nothing at all, but that is just a rumor.

We also celebrate New Year's day to mark the start of a new year on January 1st.

Christmas day is celebrated on 25th December. 26th of December is called 'Boxing day', but it is not named after anything.

Hope this was helpful!:-)
