Chromium OS is free and open source! That does not mean, however, that Chromebooks are free.
Opera 63 was released on August 20, 2019, based on Chromium 76. It was the last version that would run under OS X 10.10, with later versions requiring OS X 10.11 or later. Opera 64 was released on October 8, 2019, based on Chromium 77.

CR-48 refers to Chromium 48, aka an isotope of the element chromium. The Chrome browser which the Chrome OS is based on was itself based on an open source browser called chromium. Code naming the Chrome netbook CR-48 is just a little tongue in cheek by Google.

The stable isotope of chromium is chromium-52. Other isotopes of chromium include chromium-50, chromium-53, chromium-54, and chromium-55, but not chromium-151.
