Muslims celebrate because it is a celebration that we have finished the month of fasting. You know when we fast for a whole month we fast from sunrise to sunset. We brake our fast with dates milk then a good iftar which means food for braking the fast. We also fast because we have to feel how the poor people dont have like us everyday and it also strengthens our body. That's why we celebrate eid-al-fitur. __________________________________________________________________ EID AL FITUR IS WHEN MUSLIMS CELBRATE THE END OF THE MONTH OF FASTING [RAMADAN AS U READ UP THERE] Eid ul Fitr is a holiday. It starts on the day after Ramadan. The date changes from year to year because the Islamic Calendar is based on the phases of the moon, and a lunar year is approximately 11 days shorter than a solar one. In 2009, Eid will start after sunset on September 19th. In 2010, it will be September 8th.
