If energy is transformed from one form to another, for example electric power to mechanical power in an electric motor, in an ideal situation there would be no losses and therefore an exact equivalent in the new form of energy. In practice there are always losses, the process is not 100 percent efficient. In the above case there will be some thermal losses due to heating in the motor windings, and some windage losses due to air resistance to the moving parts, and some frictional losses in the motor bearings.

In this case the losses should not be large. In a power plant operating the Rankine cycle converting thermal energy to electric energy (see link below) large losses are inevitable, and even in the most efficient power stations more energy is lost to the cooling plant (water or air cooling) than is turned into useful output energy.

Is energy transformed or created?

Energy is transformed from one form to another. According to the law of conservation of energy, energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another. For example, potential energy can be transformed into kinetic energy.

What trasforms energy from one form to another?

Classically, energy is transformed from one form to another by the action of one or more forces.

Can energy be transformed from one form to another?

Yes indeed.

The law of conservation of energy states that when one form of energy is transformed to another?

The total amount of energy remains constant in a closed system. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another.

What is the capacity for doing work It may be transformed from one form to another?

Energy is the capacity for doing work and can be transformed from one form to another, such as from potential to kinetic energy. This principle is known as the law of conservation of energy.

What happens to the energy in the ecosystem?

Energy is neither created nor destroyed. It is transformed form one form to another.

What are The capacity for doing work. It may be transformed from one form to another?

The answer is Energy!!!

Who discovered that energy can be transformed?

James Prescott Joule is credited with discovering that energy can be transformed from one form to another, laying the foundation for the principle of the conservation of energy.

What is the change of energy from one form to another?

The change of energy from one form to another is known as energy transformation. Energy can be transformed from one form to another form (e.g., chemical to thermal, kinetic to potential) according to the conservation of energy principle, which states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred or converted from one form to another.

Is it true that energy is infinite?

No, energy is not infinite. Energy can be transformed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed.

Why is energy is not created during an exothermic reaction?

Energy is only transformed from one form to another. In exothermic reaction the energy within the bonds is transformed into energy released as heat

How many times can energy be transformed?

Energy can be transformed an infinite number of times. The law of conservation of energy states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred or converted from one form to another. This means that energy can continuously change from one form to another in various processes and systems.
