My answer. Technically the previous answer was false. ODST was #4, Reach #5. Since Bungie has made a descion to abandon Halo Microsoft Studios will possibly be realeasing the "next" Halo.
The previous answer is correct whereas the first is all wrong, 343 Studios and Microsoft Game Studios are going to release halo 4 as a lead on from where the master chief is trapped just as the arbiter goes through slipspace. It will be released in December 2012.
