When is it best to shop?

It depends on why you are shopping, and if you are trying to avoid something. If you are just looking for deals, then big sales like on Black Friday might be the best time.

If you are trying to avoid crowds and you are shopping someplace in person (rather than online), I suggest about 5am. That usually seems to allow for open parking spots and small crowds (providing the store is open... if not, the earliest they are open is usually best).

If you are shopping online you can also catch big sale days, and if you are worried about them running out of stock it is better to shop during the beginning of a sale when they aren't out of anything and you have more options.
