In 1996... May 1996 to be exact.
It was never shown, it happened between the events of the 1996 movie and the 2005 reboot. The 50th anniversairy special will go into more detail about it.
The Seventh Doctor was shot by a gang member in the 1996 Television Movie.
There is already a Doctor Who Movie. Search it on Google. It was made in 1996 by the 8th Doctor a.k.a Paul McGann Yea I know, I wish they made the Doctor Who Movie with David Tenant or Matt Smith
There has never been a doctor who movie however there was a tv movie in 1996 that was supposed to relaunch the tv show but it wasn't a success in America despite the ratings being high in the UK so the series wasn't relaunched. But in 2005 a relaunch was successful and the new series' started. If this helps the first episode of doctor who was first shown on 26 November 1963 in the UK (it was meant to be shown on November 22 but the JFK assassination interrupted the broadcast.)
Paul McGann played the 8th Doctor in a TV movie in 1996. He was only the Doctor for the one time.
I don't know, but it's on Youtube, which is easy.
The 8th Doctor only appeared once, in a one-off TV movie which aired in 1996.
What Dreams May Come? It was made in 1998 though...
Paul McGann was the Eighth Doctor in 1996
Also: Doctor Who and the Daleks (1965) and Daleks Invasion Earth (1966) starring Peter Cushing as the Doctor
You cannot ever watch the eighth doctor's series. That is because the eighth Doctor only appeared once in a TV movie in 1996. The movie might have led to a new series had it not been badly written and poorly received, but as it was it did not.
Doctor Who first aired on November 23, 1963. Between December 1989 and March 2005 there was a gap, because the show had been cancelled, but in 2005 it was revived and it has been shown ever since. During the gap, Paul McGann starred as the Eight Doctor in a 1996 TV movie. According to Wikipedia, as of December 25, 2011, a total of 784 separate episodes have aired.
