There is no way to receive an update for My Pokémon Ranch in order to allow for Pokémon Platinum to work with it. Nintendo of Japan only sent the update out to Japanese Wii players, an international version of the patch was likely decided to not release to English and other international Wii My Pokémon Ranch players.
