When is the best time to go on safari in Namibia?

Namibia is a beautiful country to visit all year round. When is the best time to visit? It all depends on what you want to do once you get there. The major factor is the weather.

December - March - It's quite hot and a little humid. Rain is more common during these months.

April - May - The weather is cooler and rain is much less common. The landscape is green and the air is clear.

June - August - The weather is much cooler and the nights can get rather cold. The land becomes drier and the bush turns a golden yellow. The animals gather around the few waterholes that are left at this time of year. The opportunity to see a wide variety of game all together is high.

September - October - Dry and warm, this is the best time of year for viewing a variety of large game around the waterholes. There is a lot of dust on the vegetation after the dry season and the colours of the landscape are not as vibrant.

November - Weather can be variable. Sometimes the warm dry days extend into November. Sometimes the rainy season begins a bit early.
