No. There is a date in your area when it is the last day to register to vote. Call your elections office for that date.
You can register to vote at the county clerk's office. You can also register to vote online with a valid Kansas driver's license. The deadline to register to vote is the twenty-first day before any election.

17 and over --- This is incorrect. You must be 18 and registered by the last registration date for the election in the state in which you reside. You could turn 18 on the last day to register, hurry down and register, and then you would be permitted to vote in that (and future) elections.
