Hence, Stephenie took a much longer time to write it, perfect it, and give a proper ending to the saga her fans have grown to love. Both Breaking Dawn were spaced as evenly apart from each other as they were from the other movies. Although they did finish filming the final movie before the first Breaking Dawn film was released, they wanted to not only put a healthy amount of editing into the second Breaking Dawn film, but also give time for the hype of a second Breaking Dawn film to build up so that more movie-goers would come to see the film.
