I presume you mean affordable. Sadly, most world governments are ceasing or reducing rebates for solar and wind generation for most of us. This means it will once again be too expensive for the average Joe.
The technology is improving, but very slowly. In hindsight, if there was as much research put into sustainable renewable energy as there was put into Oil, Coal and Natural Gas over the past 100 years, we would have been self sufficient and mostly pollution free, well over 50 years ago.
Once we get the Oil Barons out of the political scene and force them out of production, the Green energy revolution will accelerate so fast that all the oil left in the Earth, will be left in the Earth.
This would then make Solar and other green energy more affordable. My prediction is about 2025 for the technology to be at least double what is is today for half the equivalent price. A fourfold increase in benefit. Until then, there is not much commercially available that is reliable enough, beneficial and affordable for the majority.
Solar panels are available now, mostly on online stores. They can be expensiv11e, but most pay for themselves in about ten years. And more. They are a huge advantage on electricity, they cut back on your bills extremely
