If it is synthetic, it will probably tangle & there is not much you can do to repair it. If you have (quality) human hair, simply condition & gently comb the tangles out.

If a wig has synthetic hair, you can't do much but finger-comb & store it on a wig head at nighttime. Don't treat it like human hair & don't sleep in it. If the wig is human hair, carefully comb & brush it as you would your own.

There isn't much you can do if the hair is synthetic. It'll eventually tangle regardless. If the hair is human, you can gently comb it & apply a leave-in conditioner.
