Life itself can never become too much. Without life there is no you and without you your physical existence is basically erased. On the other hand, life can be quite overwhelming at times. This may have a number of reasons: Bad childhood, sudden unexpected trauma, loss of family or property... just to name a few.
The key to bring your life back in balance is not giving up. If you give up, the balance will never be restored and those you left behind will always have the negative energy around them of your sudden departure.
The key is to talk to people, the more you hold your problems inside, the bigger they seem to get. Talk to people, prefrebly strangers like a doctor or a social worker who will listen but not judge and who can give you advice objectively.
Try to think of the smaller issues that you can solve RIGHT NOW and try to solve them, the burden will decrease this way. Dont be affraid to ask for help either. There are very few things we can manage to do on our own.
