When everybody have another big war.
Humans hunting them.
An animal does not "start" to become extinct. It is either extinct or not extinct. Kiwi started to move closer to endangerment following European settlement in New Zealand during the 1830s and 1840s, and the introduction of domesticated cats and dogs, as well as when other animals such as ferrets and stoats began to be brought to the country as pets.
The hyenadon became extinct during the start of the Oligocene. There was a mas extinction event that was called Grande Coupure and causes temperatures to decline and killed many species of animals.

I am no expert on the subject, but it seems that someone should start this entry. Some primary reasons that animals become extinct include loss of habitat, changing climatic conditions, introduction of non-native species or predators into their habitat, pollutants, and predation by humans.
It has to do with the food chain. Say if T-Rex are extinct, the animals it eats over-populate and take all the food or water. Slowly, all the animals start to become extinct. Or, if a certain animal becomes extinct, the things it eats over-populate and the things that eat it normally become extinct.

The fate of most fetus is to be born and become humans, or other life forms that start out as a fetus.
Aliigators are very far from extinct. In fact, there are so many of them that if we dont start killing them, they will run out of food and start eating humans. That's why thereare allligator boots and purses. If we're going to kill an animal, we might as well make something out of it.
Humans cannot start tornadoes.
