Muscles convert chemical energy stored in the body to kinetic energy.
The muscle is made up of muscle cells and these cells have a blood supply.
The blood supply brings food (sugars - glucose) and oxygen to the muscle cells.
Inside the muscle cells (in the mitochondria) the sugar is "burned" using the oxygen, to release the chemical energy locked in the sugar.
This energy is used to contract the muscle cells when the organism wants to move.
Note, the original source of the energy (in the sugar) is from Sunlight trapped by plants.
Movement energy, Basically all it does is use glucose from the nearby cappilaries to generate movement.
Pretty sure its chemical if you follow the whole ATP cycle

Mechanical energy, heat and waste products.
Muscles provide movement, especially the skeletal muscles. The smooth muscles in our organs produce movement called peristalsis or tonic contraction which holds sphincters closed.
The muscles will produce lactic acid which feels like the muscles are burning.

how do muscles porduce gradede responses
The skeletal muscle is voluntary. Voluntary muscles are the muscles that you have the ability to control. This includes moving your arm, chewing, or moving your legs. Involuntary muscles are muscles you have no control over. A good example of that would be smooth muscles that help with digestion.
