If out on bail and arrested for something else does the bail money return to the person who posted it?

I am in the same situation. My fiance was arrested, but I had posted bail. Then probation violated him, so now he is incarcerated yet my bail has not been released for the previous arrest. The time he has served does not account towards anything because technically he is out on bail. How do I go about getting this bail revoked so the clock can start ticking ?

no.Another view: Not really enough information is disclosed about the circumstances of your VOPto give a 100% certain answer, but the period of time you served while on release on probation SHOULD count as "good" time towards your sentence. It is the un-served remainder of that sentence that you will most likely have to spend behind bars

What is the difference between bail and remand?

Bail is when you are released pending your court hearing. You are bailed against a bond (a sum of money). Remand is where you are not released pending your court hearing. If found guilty the amount of time you spend on remand is counted towards the amount of time you have to serve. People on remand are considered too dangerous to be released on bail.
