To take a screen shot from a video, you simply go to file>export>frame and save it as an image file.
If you upload them to your file share you can view them on your bungie.net profile and then save them.
Pause the game and select either "Save and continue" to save your progress and keep playing or "Save and quit" to save your progress and stop playing.
Use the Prt Scrn key on your keyboard. After race, open up paint and paste the screen shot into it. Save as a jpeg or whatever.
