The fuel filter should be stamped on one end or the other "in" or "out". Some filters also have an arrow pointing direction of flow.
If you look at the filter you will see a arrow on it and it should be pointing towards the engine.
they should be pointing down in the water
Depending on the fuel filter, it will either have an arrow or be label inlet and outlet. The arrow should be placed pointing away from the tank. Those labeled inlet and outlet will only attach in the correct direction.
behind the air intake grill which is usually on a wall near the center of the house. be sure when replacing your filter to look and see which side to have facing out. there is an arrow pointing the direction of air flow. that arrow should be pointing towards the wall.
The air flows downward toward the blower with the filter above the blower. The arrows on an OEM filter tell you which side goes up unlike most filters that have arrows showing air flow direction. If it says up on your filter then place the filter with the arrows pointing up. If it says nothing or it says "air flow" then the arrows should point down.

The starting square should be the one with "GO" and an arrow pointing to the direction which you move.
if you have fuel to the filter but not beyond then obviously something is wrong with the filter. either it is clogged, which case its simply a matter of replacing it, or you have your filter installed in the wrong direction...yes there is a correct flow direction. there should be and arrow which would indicate the low direction. in any event the arrow should point toward the motor.
I live on a slab (no basement) my air filter is inserted at the very top of the furnace almost close to the ceiling so should the arrow on my air filter be pointing up to the ceiling or down to the engine of the furnace?
I have a 98 Passport but it should be in the same spot. The fuel filter should be directly under the drivers side back seat on the inside of the frame. Their are two hoses connecting to it, the one coming from the rear is coming from the tank and the hose on the front side of the car is heading to the engine. Make sure that the direction of the gas flow is correct with the arrow on the filter pointing to the engine.
