Best Answer

Babies "use" their legs from birth with kicking.

From about 3 months old with scooting, then crawling.

Around 9 months, give or take a month, babies can stand while holding on.

Slowly they learn to let go and simply stand and balance by themselves.

And finally, they learn to walk independently, first with falls and mishaps before mastering the skill.
