You do not need to replace the timing chain because there is no timing belt at all on Ford Taurus. It has a timing chain.
Ford recommends 60K
on 1991 ford taurus 3.8 how do you replace a timing cover
You should never have to replace it. The timing chain is designed to last the life of the engine. It is normally replaced when the engine is overhaul.
Timing CHAIN ( 2011 Ford Focus 2.0 liter )
I believe the 2.3 L - DOHC engine in the 2004 Ford Ranger has a timing CHAIN instead of a timing belt , the 3.0 L and 4.0 L use timing chains
No , the 2.0 liter four cylinder engine in a 2011 Ford Focus has a timing CHAIN
The 4.0 liter SOHC V6 engine has ( 3 ) timing CHAINS , so no timing belt
On a 1999 Ford Ranger , 2.5 litre four cylinder engine : The 1999 Ford Ranger Scheduled Maintenance Guide shows to inspect the timing belt at ( 120,000 miles ) The Gates website ( they make timing belts etcetera ) shows inspect timing belt at ( 120,000 miles , replace if necessary )
A 2011 Ford Ranger , 2.3 liter Dual Over Head Cam , four cylinder engine has a timing CHAIN
Only the 4 cylinders have a belt. The belt should be replaced at 60,000 miles.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but as far as I know there is no scheduled timing CHAIN change on an engine like there is on a timing BELT
