I was looking at the 1998 Ford Escort Scheduled Maintenance Guide and it
doesn't show anything about the timing belt
So . I checked out the Gates website ( they make timing belts etcetera )
and it shows ( inspect at 120,000 miles / replace as needed )
* it also shows that the DOHC ( and SOHC ) 2.0 liter engines are
