First of all you shouldn't have done it and it would be wise to remove it and have it done professionally at a later time. If however you are bent on keeping in then you need to be very mindful of the plaque build-up on the back, watch for pink/red puffiness which is a sign of infection and whatever you do, don't remove it if you think it's infected, just call your doctor and get on some antibiotics. Also, you need to clean two to three times a day, no more and no less for about the first month.

it depends how fast your body heals, but when it doesn't hurt at all it's PROBALY healed. i would wait at least 5 weeks to be safe because they heal from the outside then the inside so you don't really know.

∙ 13y agoRinse with a mixture of natural sea salt and warm water(pinch of sea salt in a shotglass of water). Use an alcohol free mouthwash. Rinse after you eat and clean the outside 2-3 times a day.
