It depends on the plugs you use. I use Bosch Platinum tips and can go 60K easily with no degraded performance. I keep a high maintenance on my car so I might be pushing the envelope. If you have lower grade plugs or the plugs that came with the car, I would recommend changing them.
A tune up for a Mitsubishi Galant can mean several things. But the most common focus is replacing the air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, wires and routine maintenance.
Spark plugs, wires, air filter, 5 quarts of oil
valve clearance should be pusted under tune up spec under "stock hood" sticker should be on the left hand side
im sorry to say man, but the other 3 spark plugs u cant find, are under the exaust manifol.. its an $800 tune up for these galants.. sucks but its reality.. good luck..You can have the plugs changed for around $500.00. Been there & done it.
follow owners manual,25 to 30,000 is usually good.
with parts and labor I would guess somewhere aroun 100 to 150
sparkplugs
Totally in Tune was created in 2002.

I have a 2002 which is exactly the same model basically and i have 163k and no problems so far. My 03 has about the same amount of miles as yours. As long as you get the oil changed regularly ( high mileage oil is better for cars with more than 75k miles) and keep up with regular maintence ( brakes, tires, hoses, belts, tune-ups) you should be able to get up to 200k or more. I will need to get a new door/ ignition key on mine soon because the the car is outlasting the key.
