I selected the 2004 Ford F-250 Owners Guide and it shows to plug in the block

heater if the temperature drops to ( - 10 Fahrenheit or below ) Have the block

heater plugged in for at least ( 3 hours ) for best results , but you can plug in the

night before ( I would personally use a timer to save money on the electric bill )
