I believe you mean "Reserve", which is usually a fuel pickup located lower in the tank, to give you some extra gas in the event that you run out in the normal position.
There is a switch for the reverse sensing system located on the dash just to the right of the instrument panel dimmer control. When the ignition is on and the gear selector is in reverse, this switch can be used to disable or enable the RSS . If the system has been disabled the off indicator remains illuminated, so press the switch again when the ignition is on, and the gear selector is in reverse to return the system to the ON position.
There is probably a problem with your selector i had the same problem on my 5 speed boxs the other day change the clutch and the reverse light switch but for got to put the washer on the switch so it whent in to far and caused the reverse link not to go in
With the engine running , and the vehicle stopped with your foot on the brake pedal shift the transmission to NEUTRAL and then rotate your selector switch to 4X4 low then put in drive / reverse ( to switch back from 4X4 low to 2 wheel drive , with the engine running , and the vehicle stopped with your foot on the brake pedal , shift to NEUTRAL and then rotate your selector switch to 2 wheel drive then put in drive / reverse )
pickup selector switch
There is a switch which is activated when the gear selector of a vehicle is moved into the 'reverse' position. This switch controls the power going to the back up lights. The switch is located somewhere adjacent to the gear selector linkage, so that it will be physically affected when the gear selector moves into the reverse position. This means that the switch location can be anywhere from the floor shifter mounting, or the steering column, to the transmission. A maintenance manual for your specific vehicle is available at most auto parts stores for under 20 dollars. This manual will give specific locations for this switch, along with instructions on how to do everything from jump starting the vehicle to rebuilding the engine, and is an essential item for any vehicle owner, I believe. Do you mean the switch on the dash to the left of the steering wheel that shows OFF at the top and a " P " and small triangle at the bottom ? That is the switch to shut off the reverse sensing system ( park assist ) You can only shut off the reverse sensing system when the ignition is on and the gear selector is in reverse
how do i replace the fuel selector switch on the dash of a 1995 ford f250
Change the mlps {aka} the nuetral safety switch or the selector switch on the transmission and that will fix the radio problem and the power steering problem it may have also.
On the Ford Explorer , on the end of the automatic transmission gear selector lever ( park , reverse etc ) there is a push button that allows you to turn off the OVERDRIVE feature if you wish
The selector lever.
The fuel tank selector switch can be found on the left side of the dash of a 1984 F-150. This is immediately next to the headlight switch.
RF refers to 'radio frequency'. A selector switch would select a different range of radio frequencies at each of its positions. RF selector switches would be found on short wave receivers and transmitters.
