Face the direction of contact (left, in this case) and open suppressive fire. Based on the mission parameters (e.g. threat to objectives, ammunition available etc.) the fire team leader can decide to destroy the enemy force element in contact or disengage/break contact (under cover of smoke grenades, if necessary) and 'bound' away from the enemy.
