It should say on the tube/bottle/packet. As Vitamin a is a fat soluble vitamin it is possible to overdose. Vitamin A is indeed a fat soluble vitamin meaning it is stored in your fat cells. The normal dose of this vitamin is 10,000 to 12,000 units daily. If you are getting 125,000 units, you are taking 10 times more than you need. It does not flush from your system as beta carotene would which is water soluble A vitamin. If what you are taking is from fish liver oil, I would cut back today. It can have many adverse side effects such as loss of your hair, skin and eye problems and many others.
